Peta Swidler, Chief Operating Officer




Peta Bland Swidler is Tavistock's Chief Operating Officer with primary responsibility for Administration, Finance, and Research. She also participates in consulting assignments, in particular those concerning risk management, banking, finance, bank examination and regulatory compliance.

 

Peta retired from Wells Fargo Bank ("WFB") in 2009 after a 22 year career with the Bank.  From 2000 to 2009 Peta was in WFB's Securities and Investment Group ("SIG"), where she was SIG's  Senior Vice President and Senior Credit Officer, and recipient of the prestigious Golden Spoke Award. Peta assisted in the integration of the SIG parts of Wachovia's business after its acquisition by WFB.  She was the primary SIG contact to Government Supervisory Authorities and SIG's chief contact for Compliance and its External Auditor. Peta also represented SIG on the Bank's Diversity Council. Prior to joining SIG Peta was an Examiner and then Manager for WFB Risk Asset Review.

 

Prior to joining WFB, Peta held management positions in loan review for Bank of America San Francisco, was a Senior Examiner for Société Général in New York, and was the Executive Officer Loan Review for Asia for the Deutsche Bank in Singapore. Peta's early bank training was at Bank of America in Frankfurt and Citibank in Hong Kong where she successfully completed the six month Citibank Executive Training Program as well as the Credit, Trade Finance, and Selling Skills programs.

 

Peta was born in the UK where she received her degree in Business from Midwarwickshire College. She is a University of California Davis Marin Master Gardner and resides in Novato, California with her husband Tom, a Founder of Tavistock.
